If you accept payments with the National Bank of Greece softPOS through Mellon's NBG Pay Tap on Mobile app, you can link it to Wrapp Terminal in a few minutes. With the integration in place, every charge on the POS starts from the invoice, with no double keying of amounts, exactly as required by the POS interconnection rules of AADE, the Greek tax authority.
Step 1: Install the apps
On the device we have shipped to you, install the two apps:
- NBG Pay Tap on Mobile by Mellon
- Wrapp Terminal
Once installation is complete, sign in to each app separately using your personal credentials.
Step 2: Enable the ERP connection
Open the NBG Pay Tap on Mobile app and go to Menu → Settings → Cash Register Settings. There, enable the Connect with ERP option.
Step 3: Get the pairing code
Go back to Settings and select Connection with Third-Party Services. A pairing code will appear. Keep it handy, you will need it in the next step.
Step 4: Register the device in Wrapp
From a computer or phone, sign in to your Wrapp account and click the person icon in the top right corner. Select Settings and, from the left-hand menu, go to Integrations → POS.
Click the blue button on the right labelled "New Device", choose NBG Pay as the POS type and enter the code shown in the NBG Pay Tap on Mobile app. Finally, click "Save Changes".
Step 5: Check the device settings
Once the connection is complete, open the NBG Pay Tap on Mobile app again on the device we shipped to you and make sure the menu has switched to the Sales section.
Then go to the Pro All in One device's Settings → Apps, find the Wrapp Terminal app and enable the Display over other apps option.
Step 6: Run a test payment
Finally, run a test payment through the Wrapp Terminal app to confirm that the connection has been completed successfully and works as expected. If you need help at any step, the Wrapp support team is here for you.
Frequently asked questions
Is POS interconnection mandatory in Greece?
Yes. AADE, the Greek tax authority, requires card terminals to be interconnected with the business's cash register or e-invoicing provider, so the amount charged on the POS always comes from an issued document rather than being typed in manually.
What do I need to connect NBG Pay Tap on Mobile to Wrapp Terminal?
You need the device with the NBG Pay Tap on Mobile by Mellon and Wrapp Terminal apps installed, your personal credentials, and the pairing code the Mellon app generates under Connection with Third-Party Services.
Where do I enter the pairing code in Wrapp?
In Wrapp go to Settings, Integrations, POS, click New Device, choose NBG Pay as the POS type and enter the code. Wrapp is an AADE-certified e-invoicing provider (YPAHES), so the setup fully meets the Greek POS interconnection rules.
