Connect myPOS to Wrapp: myDATA guide

You do not ask myPOS for the Wrapp connection code. The terminal shows it itself, as soon as you put it into ERP mode. The route for Smart terminals and for Go and Go 2, step by step.

Wrapp is a licensed ΥΠΑΗΕΣ provider, certified by AADE, the Greek tax authority. With myPOS, the connection in Wrapp is a single field: the connection code (Authorization Code). myPOS does not send you this code. The terminal shows it itself as soon as you put it into ERP mode, and the route depends on your device:

  • Android Smart terminals, the Carbon (N86) and the Pro (F20): the code comes from the ECR-POS connect app.
  • myPOS Go and Go 2: the code comes from the terminal's ECR/ERP mode.

Have Wrapp open before you generate the code. The code stays on the terminal's screen only briefly, 60 seconds on the Go 2. Open the «New POS Device» form in Wrapp first, then get the code, so you can type it straight in. Connecting a terminal is included from Wrapp Core upwards (€169 + VAT a year).

A. myPOS Smart terminals (Android)

1. Get the terminal ready

The terminal must be activated and up to date: check under «Settings» → «System updates». Then install the ECR-POS connect app from the myPOS App Market. It is available for the Carbon (N86) and the Pro (F20).

Settings → System updates

2. Open ECR-POS connect and enter your VAT number

On the app's home screen press «Setup». Enter your business VAT number (ΑΦΜ) and press «Next».

3. Pick ERP system and Wi-Fi / SIM

For the integration type pick «ERP system» and for the connection type «Wi-Fi / SIM». On the next screen the terminal shows the connection code. The code stays on screen only briefly, so have Wrapp open already.

Setup → VAT number → ERP system → Wi-Fi / SIM

4. Enter the code in Wrapp

In Wrapp press «New POS Device», pick the myPOS logo and type the code into the Authorization Code field. Press «Save Changes», then «Finish» on the terminal.

Settings → Integrations → POS → New POS Device → myPOS

B. myPOS Go and Go 2

1. Get the terminal ready

The terminal must be activated and up to date. For updates press F2, then 5.

2. Put the terminal into ECR/ERP mode

Press F2 three times to reach «Settings menu 3». There pick «Change profile», then «ECR/ERP mode».

F2 ×3 → Change profile → ECR/ERP mode

3. Enter your VAT number and pick ERP System

Enter your business VAT number (ΑΦΜ). For the connection type pick «ERP System» and for the connection method one of myPOS DATA card, SIM card or Wi-Fi.

4. Get the code

Press F1 and pick «Connect to ERP system». The terminal shows the connection code. On the Go 2 the code stays for 60 seconds, so have Wrapp open already.

F1 → Connect to ERP system

5. Enter the code in Wrapp

In Wrapp press «New POS Device», pick the myPOS logo and type the code into the Authorization Code field. Press «Save Changes», then «Confirm» on the terminal.

Settings → Integrations → POS → New POS Device → myPOS

At the till

You issue the receipt in Wrapp with POS as the payment method and the amount goes to the myPOS terminal, where the customer pays by card. Before a new transaction starts, the terminal must be connected to the ERP. If it asks you to reconnect, the myPOS guide for your device tells you what to press.

Through the API

If you connect terminals on behalf of your customers, the same connection is the POST /api/v1/pos_devices call: send pos_type mypos, the terminal's code in authorization_code, the terminal's terminal_id and a name. On the receipt you set the pos_device_id the call returns, with payment_method_type 3 (card). Every field is in the REST API documentation, under POS Devices.

The myPOS guides

myPOS has published an ERP connection guide for each terminal family, hosted by AADE. They show every screen step by step, in Greek:

After the connection

From here on you issue the receipt as usual and pick POS as the payment method: the receipt and payment are transmitted to myDATA automatically. If you run another terminal too, see how to connect the Viva softPOS, NBG Pay POS with EDPS, Worldline Smart POS and epay POS and SoftPOS.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find the connection code (Authorization Code) for myPOS?

On the terminal itself, not from myPOS. On Smart terminals the ECR-POS connect app shows it once you pick «ERP system» and «Wi-Fi / SIM». On the Go and Go 2 it comes from «Connect to ERP system» under F1, once the terminal is in ECR/ERP mode.

The code disappeared before I could type it. What now?

The code stays on screen only briefly, 60 seconds on the Go 2. Get a new one from the terminal with the same steps and type it into Wrapp straight away. That is why it helps to have the «New POS Device» form open before you generate the code.

Wrapp says the code is wrong or has already been used. What do I do?

Get a new code from the terminal and type it into Wrapp straight away, taking care not to mix up any digits.

Do I have to connect the POS to the software that issues the receipt?

Yes. In Greece, connecting the POS to the system that issues the receipt is an obligation under A.1155/2023, not an option. Once it is connected to Wrapp, the amount goes from the receipt to the terminal and the payment is transmitted to myDATA together with the receipt.

Which myPOS terminals connect this way?

The Android Smart terminals, Carbon (N86) and Pro (F20), through the ECR-POS connect app, and the myPOS Go and Go 2 through ECR/ERP mode. The official myPOS guide for each family is linked at the end of this article.

How do I issue a receipt paid by POS in Wrapp?

Once the connection is done, you issue the receipt in Wrapp with POS as the payment method. The amount goes to the myPOS terminal, the customer pays by card and the receipt and payment are transmitted to myDATA automatically.
