Which myDATA document type and classification: e-shop, restaurant, services, B2B
The documents Greek businesses issue most, from the e-shop receipt to the credit invoice and the delivery note, each with its invoice_type_code, its classification_category and classification_type, and a complete JSON body for POST /invoices.
Every document you send to myDATA carries an invoice_type_code, and every line a classification_category and a classification_type. Which ones depends on what you sell and who buys it. This page answers it for the documents Greek businesses issue most often, each with a complete JSON body for POST /invoices.
These are the common cases, not the limit. The API issues many more document types, and each type accepts other classification pairs. The full myDATA lists are in invoice types, classification categories and classification types, and every field is in the API documentation.
| What you issue | invoice_type_code | Classification |
|---|---|---|
| Goods to a consumer, e-shop included | 11.1 | category1_1 (resold) or category1_2 (made), with E3_561_003 |
| The same, paid on a POS terminal | 11.1 with pos_device_id | As above |
| An order at a restaurant table | 8.6 | category1_95 with "_" |
| Services to a consumer | 11.2 | category1_3 with E3_561_003 |
| Services to a business | 2.1 | category1_3 with E3_561_001 |
| Goods to a business | 1.1 | category1_1 with E3_561_001 |
| Goods you sell for a principal | 1.4 | category1_7 with E3_881_001 |
| A card payment for documents already issued | 8.4 | category1_95 with "_" |
| A credit to a business | 5.2 | As the original line |
| Goods on the move | 9.3 | category3 with "_" |
| A refund on a receipt | 11.4 | As the original line, with E3_561_003 |
| The climate resilience fee | 8.2 | category1_95 with "_" |
| Settling a principal's sales | 1.5 | category2_9 with "_", then category1_3 with E3_561_001 |
Before you start
- Billing books: each type issues from a book of its own type, with the
billing_book_idfromGET /billing_books. A 1.1 book also issues 1.2 and 1.3, and a 2.1 book also issues 2.2 and 2.3. Retail types don't share books. - Explicit amounts: every line carries
net_total_price,vat_totalandsubtotal, and the document its four totals. Nothing is computed for you: without them the document is stored at 0.00. - Payment method:
payment_method_typetakes Wrapp's own numbers from the API documentation, not myDATA's codes: 0 is cash, 1 on credit, 3 card. Retail receipts, the 11.4, the 8.2 and the 8.4 are refused without it, with error 204. - Reading the codes: myDATA's lists write «1.3», and the field takes
category1_3."_"means the line has no classification type: send exactly that, an empty string ornulldoes not work. - Classifications: the ones on this page are the usual ones for each case. Which one applies to a business is its accountant's call.
- A unique
external_id: a repeated one is refused, so a call you retry never issues a second document.
1. Goods to a consumer, e-shop included: Retail Sales Receipt 11.1 (ΑΛΠ)
An e-shop order, or a sale at the counter paid in cash, by card online or by transfer, goes on an 11.1. Goods you resell take category1_1, products you make category1_2, and a shipping line category1_3, all with E3_561_003. No counterpart is needed: leave the key out.

2. Paid on a POS terminal: the same 11.1 with pos_device_id
When the customer pays by card on a terminal connected to Wrapp, add pos_device_id, the terminal's id from GET /pos_devices, and send payment_method_type 3. The terminal charges the receipt's amount, and the receipt takes its ΜΑΡΚ once the payment is approved. You receive it by webhook.

3. An order at a restaurant table: Catering Order Note 8.6
Every round at a table goes on an 8.6, on an open table from catering_tables. Its lines take category1_95 with "_", and it needs no payment method and no counterpart. An 11.1 settles the notes later: that receipt, and every other document of a shift, is in the restaurant JSON examples.

4. Services to a consumer: Service Rendered Receipt 11.2 (ΑΠΥ)
A service sold to a consumer goes on an 11.2, with category1_3 and E3_561_003. Don't carry over E3_561_001 from a services invoice: on an 11.2 myDATA refuses it with error 313.

9. A credit to a business: Credit Invoice 5.2
A 5.2 credits a business without linking to the original invoice, so it carries no correlated_invoices. Each line repeats the classification of the line it credits. When the credit has to point to the original, use the 5.1 instead, with the original's ΜΑΡΚ.

10. Goods on the move: Delivery Note 9.3
A 9.3 records goods moving to a customer or another location, not a sale, so it carries no amounts and its lines take category3 with "_". Send is_delivery_note: true and the delivery_detail block, with a counterpart that has an address. The dispatch date and time can't be in the past, or myDATA refuses the note with error 280. Frequently asked questions
Which myDATA document does an e-shop issue for an order?
An e-shop selling goods to consumers issues the Retail Sales Receipt 11.1 (ΑΛΠ), with category1_1 and E3_561_003 on each product line, or category1_2 for products it makes itself. A shipping line takes category1_3. An e-shop selling services issues the Service Rendered Receipt 11.2 (ΑΠΥ).
What is the difference between 11.1 and 11.2?
The 11.1 is the retail receipt for goods and the 11.2 for services. They follow the same rules for the counterpart and the payment method. The 11.2's lines take category1_3 with E3_561_003, and E3_561_001 is refused on it with error 313.
Does a retail receipt need a counterpart?
No. On the 11.1, 11.2 and 11.4 you can leave the counterpart key out entirely. Invoices to a business carry the counterpart with the buyer's ΑΦΜ.
What does "_" mean in classification_type?
That the line has no classification type. It goes on the lines of the 8.6, 8.4 and 8.2 with category1_95, on the 9.3 with category3, and on the first line of a 1.5 with category2_9. Send exactly "_": an empty string or null does not work.
Why does myDATA return error 204, Payment Methods is mandatory?
Because the document has no payment_method_type. The 11.1, 11.2, 11.4, 8.2 and 8.4 need one. It takes Wrapp's own numbers, not myDATA's codes: 0 is cash and 3 is card. The rejection uses up the document's series number.
Why was my document stored with a zero value?
Because its amounts were missing. Nothing is computed from quantity and price: every line needs net_total_price, vat_total and subtotal, and the document net_total_amount, vat_total_amount, total_amount and payable_total_amount.
Can an 11.2 be issued from an 11.1 billing book?
No. Each retail type needs a book of its own type, and the API refuses the draft otherwise. A 1.1 book also issues 1.2 and 1.3, and a 2.1 book also issues 2.2 and 2.3.
Where can I try the examples?
