Ordio and Wrapp: order taking, card payments and myDATA receipts in one system for your restaurant
The order at the table, the payment on the terminal and the receipt in myDATA, with nobody keying in the same items three times. Ordio is an order-taking and POS system for hospitality, and it issues all its documents through Wrapp, automatically.
A restaurant runs on three things at once: the order the waiter takes, the payment on the terminal, and the receipt that has to reach myDATA. When those are three different systems, someone keys in the same items two or three times. Ordio is an order-taking and POS system built for hospitality, and it issues all its documents through Wrapp, the licensed electronic invoicing provider.
The order, the payment and the receipt become one system. You take the order in Ordio, and Wrapp issues the receipt and transmits it to myDATA, automatically, with nobody keying anything in again.
From the order to the receipt
| On the shift | In Ordio | In myDATA, through Wrapp |
|---|---|---|
| Order at the table | From a computer, tablet or phone, with a floor plan. Each product prints at the right printer | A Catering Order Note for every table round sent |
| The guest orders from their phone | QR ordering at the table | A Catering Order Note, like any table order |
| Card payment | The amount goes to the terminal and the order closes by itself | A retail receipt with its ΜΑΡΚ, once the payment is approved |
| Delivery from Wolt, efood, BOX, phone or website | Every order in one list, printed in the kitchen | A retail receipt for each order |
| Card at the door | The driver charges the card on delivery, with a Viva terminal | The receipt is issued before the order leaves, with its QR code |
| Invoice to a company | From the till, with a VAT number lookup | An invoice, with the company's details |
Through Wrapp, Ordio issues receipts, invoices, credit notes and delivery notes. Order notes have 24 hours to be correlated with the receipt that settles the table. When the order and the receipt come out of the same system, nothing is left to be keyed in by hand.
The card, connected the way the law requires
Α.1155/2023 requires the card terminal to be interconnected with the system that issues the receipt. In Ordio the connection to the terminal goes through Wrapp, and Ordio lists terminals from Viva.com, Worldline, Nexi, National Bank of Greece, epay, myPOS, EDPS and other banks. The amount goes to the terminal, and the receipt is issued once the payment is approved, with nobody typing the amount a second time.
If the guest adds a tip before paying by card, Ordio prints it on the receipt.
Cash register: replace it, or keep it
Issuing through a provider is a legal alternative to a cash register. With Ordio and Wrapp you can replace it entirely, and that is what we recommend: issuing from the cloud with real-time transmission to myDATA, from devices you already have, with no fiscal device to service and no Z report at the end of the day. Ordio states that a single thermal printer is all you need for receipts.
If you want to keep your cash register, you can: a business may lawfully declare more than one cash register system. Neither option changes your standing with ΑΑΔΕ.
How to start
- You talk to Ordio, which handles the setup and staff training remotely, and connects Wrapp, your printers and your terminal.
- Your Wrapp account opens through Ordio, and you finish setting it up from the link that arrives by email.
- Wrapp files the provider declaration with ΑΑΔΕ. You see it in your myAADE e-notifications, and if you do not respond within 10 days it is presumed accepted.
Ordio's plans and prices are on ordio.gr.
"With the Wrapp API, restaurants using Ordio issue myDATA receipts and invoices fast and in full compliance, straight from the ordering system, with no manual steps."
John Pastras, Founder, Ordio
Why now
Since 2 November 2026, invoices to businesses must be issued electronically, and for a restaurant that covers catering, events and corporate accounts. When the system that takes the order already issues through a provider, the invoice comes out of the same order. The full timeline is in the guide to 2 November 2026, and what changes for hospitality overall in the article on restaurant digitisation.
Frequently asked questions
What is Ordio?
An order-taking and POS system for restaurants, cafés and bars, running on computers, tablets and phones. It takes orders at the table and by QR, gathers delivery orders in one list, sends the payment to the terminal, and issues its documents through Wrapp.
How do Ordio receipts reach myDATA?
Through Wrapp, the licensed electronic invoicing provider. Wrapp issues every document with its ΜΑΡΚ and QR code and transmits it to myDATA in real time, automatically, with nothing keyed in again.
Do I need a cash register with Ordio?
No. Issuing through a provider is a legal alternative to a cash register, so you can replace it entirely, and that is what we recommend. If you want to keep it, you can, because a business may lawfully declare more than one cash register system.
Does my card terminal connect?
Ordio connects the terminal through Wrapp and lists terminals from Viva.com, Worldline, Nexi, National Bank of Greece, epay, myPOS, EDPS and other banks. The amount goes to the terminal and the receipt is issued once the payment is approved, as the Α.1155/2023 interconnection requires.
Can delivery guests pay by card at the door?
Yes. The receipt is issued before the order leaves, and the driver charges the card on delivery with a Viva terminal.
Who files the provider declaration with ΑΑΔΕ?
Wrapp does, through myAADE. You see it in your e-notifications, and if you do not respond within 10 days it is presumed accepted.
How much does Ordio cost?
