How to Enable Customer Lookup by VAT Number (TaxisNet)
Connect your account to the TaxisNet database for full coverage of Greek VAT numbers when searching for customers.
By default, customer lookup by VAT number in the app runs through VIES, the EU's VAT database. If you often find that a customer's Greek VAT number (AFM) is not listed there, you can connect your account to the TaxisNet database, the Greek government's online tax portal.
What you gain and what you do not: The TaxisNet connection gives you much better coverage of Greek VAT numbers, but it cannot return results for VAT numbers from other EU countries.
How to enable lookup via TaxisNet
- Go to
Settings → Integrations → Taxis. - There, click the link you will see in the text. You will be taken to a dedicated page with detailed instructions for the steps you need to follow.
Once the connection is complete, every customer lookup by VAT number pulls the details directly from the TaxisNet database and the customer's fields are filled in automatically.
